About Us
Give and Buy was devised by two Irish charities focused on Africa. Friends of Kitui (Kenya) and CareAid (Tanzania and Zambia), both charities operating under the Charity Code. These charities have been operating for more than seven years and have raised almost 2 million euro for education, health and women's empowerment projects.
Raising money in this economic climate is difficult. Give and Buy can enable you to provide financial support without putting your hand in your pocket.
We'd also like to acknowledge all the many individuals who've helped us get this far.
The charities that benefit will include not only Friends of Kitui and CareAid, but also other Irish charities which assist the homeless, suicide prevention, children with special needs and other disadvantaged groups.

The Audited Accounts should describe how the money raised is transferred to Africa and where it goes then. The great thing about the web is that it is possible to put up as much detail as you want - no cost per word.
Finally,
What we do
Being very conscious that, while it is important to help the poor in Africa, we should not forget the disadvantaged in our own country. We decided to open the site to a limited number of other charities working in Ireland. The charities that benefit from your generosity will include not only Friends of Kitui and CareAid, but also other Irish charities which assist the poor, the homeless, suicide prevention, children with special needs and end of life care and other disadvantaged groups.
We all have items of value in our homes which we never use. You can sell those items on GiveandBuy.ie in the certain knowledge that 100% of the funds received by GiveandBuy will be given to charity.
